WOMEN in our care at the Bella Centre are being trained in how to deliver naloxone, a life-saving medication that reverses the effects of opioid overdose.
Led by Emir Taha, Training and Development Officer for the Scottish Drugs Forum, the training is part of a range of harm reduction measures aimed at reducing drug deaths in Scotland.
The Bella Centre is one of eight prisons delivering naloxone training in partnership with the Scottish Drugs Forum. A further two establishments will start in the next few weeks.
STV's Lynne Rankin was invited to find out more.
