We value the distinctive role and contribution of the third sector. We are committed to working together effectively to maximise the impact of the limited resources available, make sure that those services being funded and delivered meet the needs of the people in our care, and minimise duplication between services.
Charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises across a range of areas including throughcare mentoring, addictions, recovery, mental health and wellbeing, provide invaluable support to people in and leaving custody.
SPS worked with the CJVSF and other partners to develop a Partnership Agreement to support collaborative working between SPS and third sector organisations delivering independently funded services in Scottish prisons. Third sector organisations wishing to deliver services in Scottish prisons should contact the Head of Offender Outcomes at the relevant establishment in the first instance to explore opportunities for service delivery before completing the Partnership Agreement template which can be accessed in the link below along with associated paperwork and a FAQ.
