The Scottish Prison Service in partnership with Police Scotland, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and the Parole Board for Scotland has published a shared document containing Standards of Service for Victims. The latest version can be found below. The Standards of Service were produced in consultation with a number of victim’s organisations and the Scottish Prison Service and other agencies are grateful for, and have valued greatly, their input.
Section 2 of the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014 requires Police Scotland, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, the Scottish Prison Service and the Parole Board for Scotland to set and publish standards of service for victims and witnesses. These standards are set out in this document. All of the standards will be monitored, reviewed and reported on annually and can be found below.
