INDIVIDUALS in custody across all of Scotland's prisons have won 244 prizes at this years Koeslter Arts Awards.

Established in 1962, the Koestler Arts Awards offer a way of motivating people in custody to take part in the arts. The awards seek to help individuals learn the skills and gain the confidence to live creative, positive and productive lives.

Every year, Fife College work with individuals in custody to submit a range of creative works to the competition.

Prizes are awarded across 50 categories of Fine Art, Craft & Design, Performance and Audio, Film & Animation and Writing.

-Entries are judged by over 100 experts from different fields, with this years judges including comedian and writer Jenny Eclair, Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller, author and campaigner Katie Piper and English synth-pop band Hot Chip.
